Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri admitted he was in the dark over the future of midfield star Frank Lampard.

Lampard has been linked with a move to Internazionale after his contract talks reportedly stalled.

However, Ranieri says he is unlikely to have any baring on Lampard's future as he is not likely to be at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

"I don't know anything about Lampard, I am a dead man walking and don't know anything about it," he admitted,

"I have spoken a lot about Frank, for me - he and John Terry have been the best players this season. Both players have done very, very well."

Ranieri revealed that Juan Sebastian Veron is being rested for 10 days and will not feature at Newcastle on Sunday.

"We decided to leave him another ten days to work harder to increase his stamina, he is not available for the Newcastle match," added Ranieri.
