Bayer Leverkusen have denied reports in the German press that Bayern Munich have already started negotiations with the club about the transfer of Lucio.
Bayern Munich look set to wield the axe in the summer in what could end a trophy-less season and, according to German football magazine Kicker, the Brazilian World Cup winner is high on the list of coach Ottmar Hitzfeld.
Chelsea, Real Madrid and Juventus are also monitoring the gifted stopper's situation but Leverkusen officials have made early moves to distance the Bavarians from their star.
"There is always speculation surrounding Lucio, but there's no contact between us and Bayern at the moment," stressed general manager Reiner Calmund.
The defender is expected to leave the BayArena in the summer despite being contracted until 2007.
