The agent of Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has told skysports.com that his client has not signed a pre-contract agreement with Italian giants Internazionale.

The Argentine, whose deal at El Santiago Bernabeu expires in the summer, has been linked with moves to Inter, Juventus and Premiership aristocrats Chelsea in the summer.

Reports in Italy this week suggested that the South American had signed a preliminary agreement to join the Nerazzurri once his deal with Los Galacticos ended.

However, Cambiasso's European agent Giuseppe Tirri has dismissed Italian newspaper reports that his client had signed a pre-contract deal with Inter.

"It's an absolutely false thing," Tirri exclusively told skysports.com.

"It's true that Inter have an interest for Cambiasso and that we are quite close to signing, but I absolutely deny today (Friday) we were in the Nerazzurri's offices.

"Also, because of the present period, it is impossible signing contracts involving me and the player too, as we would risk a long ban."

Tirri dismissed any link suggesting Juve were interested in Cambiasso but confirmed that Chelsea and Arsenal had kept an eye on the midfielder, though Inter look to be leading the chase.

"Juventus? Absolutely not. They have never been interested to him," revealed Tirri.

"But I can say there were other clubs, English ones precisely, Chelsea and Arsenal, who were interested to him, but the player has decided to consider Inter as the better one.

"Their offer is the most interesting, and the player prefers the city and the team."

With all indications pointing Cambiasso towards a move to Inter for next season, Tirri admitted it will not be an easy switch.

"The time left for signing is not so long but firstly we have to define personal details and then materially, that there aren't any new contract clauses," said Tirri.

"Anyway, I think before the end of Italian league season, the affair could be closed."

Meanwhile, Real Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano has been fined ‚é¼2,000 for confronting the match referee at half time during his side's 2-1 semi-final aggregate win over Sevilla in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

The Argentina World Cup winner took referee Eduardo Iturralde Gonzalez to task over the dismissal of midfielder Zinedine Zidane before the break of the second leg match at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

The French international was given a straight red card in the last minute of the first half for striking Sevilla defender Pablo Alfaro in the face with his hand as the two challenged for the ball.
