Trabelsi wants future resolving

Ajax defender Hatem Trabelsi has stated that he wants his future decided within the next week.

The 27-year-old is high on the wanted list of England's big three - Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United - and talks are believed to be ongoing with the two London giants.

The Tunisian star is currently considering his options and although The Premiership is a major lure for him, he is also considering a possible move to Serie A.

"I know my agent has spoken to Arsenal and Chelsea," said Trabelsi.

"I like The Premiership and the Italian League and I must choose the best club.

"I hope something will be decided by the end of this month.

"I am out of contract this summer and I could sign a pre-contract, but I don't know if I'll go to Chelsea."

Chelsea are very keen on securing a deal for Trabelsi and are rumoured to have brokered a deal for Brazilian starlet Eduardo Alcides to help them get him.

Ajax want Alcides and Chelsea hope that they could sign Trabelsi, using the Brazilian - who has been on loan at Schalke from Vitoria.

If the deal was ratified by Fifa, then Alcides would move to the Amsterdam ArenA straight away - without setting foot in Stamford Bridge - while Trabelsi would likely move in June.
