NEW Chelsea recruit Juan Sebastian Veron has been included in a 19-man squad for Argentina's friendly with Uruguay.

Argentina will tackle their South American rivals in the Italian city of Florence on Wednesday August 20 with Veron named in coach Marcelo Bielsa's squad.

Bielsa has selected all bar one of his players from clubs around Europe as he uses the match as preparation for the forthcoming 2006 World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Argentine coach has picked an experienced squad for the clash in Italy in what is likely to be a fiercely contested affair given the history between the two nations.

The solitary face in the party from an Argentine club is River Plate ace Luis Gonzalez as Bielsa checks on the form of his European-based stars.

Squad:
Pablo Cavallero (Celta Vigo), Leonard Franco (Mallorca); Javier Zanetti (Internazionale), Roberto Ayala (Valencia), Gabriel Heinze (Paris Saint Germain), Walter Samuel (Roma), Diego Placente (Bayer Leverkusen), Facundo Quiroga (Sporting Lisbon); Matias Almeyda (Internazionale), Luis Gonzalez (River Plate), Andres D'Alessandro (Wolfsburg), Juan Sebastian Veron (Chelsea), Pablo Aimar, Cristian Gonzalez (Valencia); Hernan Crespo (Internazionale), Javier Saviola (Barcelona), Diego Milito (Racing Santander), Luciano Galletti (Real Zaragoza), Claudio Lopez (Lazio).
