DENMARK coach Morten Olsen has sprung a surprise by naming Jon Dahl Tomasson in his squad for the international friendly against Finland.

The Milan forward was expected to be left out as he recovers from a shoulder injury suffered at the end of last season.

"I have talked to John Dahl and I have included him, because at the very least he gets good practice with us," Olsen told Ritzau.

The only new face named was Viborg defender Asbjorns Sennels who admitted his delight at being called up.

"I am proud and of course happy for the call up. Hopefully, it will increase the attention from foreign clubs in me," stated Sennels to Onside.dk.
