CHELSEA have moved to bolster their squad by signing young duo Jean Yves Anis and Mauro Oscar Coelho Da Silva.

The Blues completed the deals for the defensive duo just before Saturday's transfer deadline.

Anis, 21, is a right-sided full back, who used to play for Rennes, while Da Silva, 18, is a central defender from Porto.

Chelsea have been remarkably quiet in the transfer market this summer with only Enrique De Lucas arriving from Espanyol on a free transfer as the purse stings have been tightened at Stamford Bridge.

Blues boss Claudio Ranieri is keen to bolster his squad and the signings of Anis and Da Silva will provide cover for the first team squad.

The duo join recent signing from Ajax, striker Mbark Boussoufa in swelling the ranks at Stamford Bridge.
