CHELSEA have rejected a loan bid from Rangers for Jody Morris, with the player still very much part of Claudio Ranieri's plans.

Morris, who hit the headlines with his recent arrest for assault along with England hopeful John Terry, was seen as a man who could bring midfield guile to The Gers.

However, after battling to win a place back in the match-day squad, Morris is beginning to show the kind of form that made him one of the club's most exciting prospects.

Managing director Colin Hutchinson has confirmed that the player will not be vacating Stamford Bridge, despite the disciplinary problems that have dominated his season.

"Jody Morris remains a Chelsea player and he is not available," Hutchison asserted.
