THE AGENT of NAC Breda's Gabor Babos has revealed that Arsenal are very interested in his client, although the English giants cannot consider mounting a bid for the Hungarian international at this moment in time.
Babos's agent Sandor Varga is known to have been in London over the last week and during this time he held talks with the Gunners vice-chairman David Dein.
"We talked about various things, one of the subjects was Gabor Babos," Varga revealed.
"Because he will not get a work permit, Arsenal will not have direct interest at the moment.
"But they will still be following him - they will follow his career very closely."
26-year-old Babos is one of the most highly rated keepers in Holland and has attracted wide-spread attention, however he is currently only number two for Hungary as Hertha Berlin's Gabor Kiraly is very much their first choice - as he has been since his debut in 1998.
This lack of regular international football would prevent any move to England, although a few more years in Holland would result in EU citizenship, which may then give him the chance of a transfer to England.
Babos is also said to have cbeen watched by Arsenal's London rivals Chelsea, but both are likely to have to take a back seat to Ajax - who are believed to be very keen on sealing a deal in the near future.
