Rommedahl is certainly cock-a-hoop after starring in Europe in midweek, and he is hopeful of getting the nod when the team is announced for the match with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on February 28.
"Now I first need to be selected," he said. "And it is nothing I speculate about, but it is obvious that there is only space for two of us three.
"Jesper and Martin are brilliant players, so I will not be disappointed if I am the one who has to sit on the bench.
"On the other hand, I will, of course, do all I can to get the chance to play."
The PSV Eindhoven star was the hero of the hour when Germany were defeated back in November, but he is still not assured of his place.
"I don`t regard myself as certain to be in the starting eleven," he told BT. "But it went well for me in the Autumn and I will, of course, try to keep it up.
"The competition on the wings is tough with both Rommedahl and Gronkjaer in from," admitted Udinese star Jorgensen. "But I am ready to take up the challenge.
"It has been both up and down for the club this season. But the demands have continued to increase at the club.
"A few years ago, the fans cheered if we avoided the drop, now they expect us to play in the Uefa Cup.
Meanwhile, new Lyngby owner Jorn Terkelsen has commented on his position.
"I do not want to be appointed as the Lyngby saviour," he revealed. "I have got the privilege to give the club a last chance to remain a top side in football.
"Of course I have a strategy in mind, but I am not going to reveal it."
