CHELSEA have seemingly ruled themselves out the race for Ipswich Town`s transfer-listed goalkeeper Richard Wright, after managing director Colin Hutchinson said that The Blues would not be making a bid.

Italian goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has completed his £160,000 from Atalanta to Stamford Bridge, after a successful loan spell last season, and Hutchinson has said that the West London side have no intentions of signing Wright.

"We won`t be contacting Ipswich are making a bid." confirmed Hutchinson, although he did acknowledge that the England international was a target 12 months ago.

Meanwhile, Ipswich are already being linked with a host of replacements for Wright, and Turkish international Rustu Recber is reportedly George Burley`s new number one target.

Recber, who was one of the most impressive keepers at Euro 2000, is set to leave his club Fenerbahce in the summer and Town could be set to bid £5 million for the 27-year-old.

Rustu has stated in the past that he would love to play in the Premiership, and he could get his wish with the newly promoted Suffolk side.
