United move excites youngster, as Red Devils eye Herrera

Manchester United-bound Angelo Henriquez claims he is heading to England looking to play, while the Red Devils have asked about Hector Herrera. Universidad de Chile have announced that Henriquez is on his way to Old Trafford in a deal worth £3.5million. The teenage frontman will further bolster Sir Alex Ferguson's attacking ranks, but is viewed as one for the future. Henriquez does not plan on spending much time in the shadows, though, with it his intention to push for a starting berth and make a similar impact to that made by Javier Hernandez following his arrival in the Premier League. "If I go Manchester United it is to play," the youngster told El Mercurio.

Minutes

"The team will be involved in several competitions, so I have the opportunity to get minutes on the pitch with the first team. "I have spoken to Alex Ferguson and he said that I would be under consideration this season. That excites me. "I know that I will have a very difficult task because there are players in the team like (Wayne) Rooney, (Robin) Van Persie and Chicharito Hernandez, but I couldn't let this chance go by." Meanwhile, the sporting director of Mexican side Pachuca claims to have received an expression of interest from United regarding highly-rated midfielder Herrera. "It's an official interest, we already have the document, but there is nothing more than that," Andres Fassi told ESPN Deportes.
