Danny Welbeck is confident Manchester United will not dwell on crashing out of the UEFA Champions League and says the players are raring to go against Wolves.
Last season's runners-up suffered a shock exit from the group phase of this term's Champions League after losing 2-1 away to Basel earlier in the week.
The Red Devils had been expected to comfortably qualify for the last 16, but must now contend with the demands of the Europa League in the spring.
Welbeck feels it would be counter-productive to spend too much time wondering what went wrong and wants to focus on beating Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.
"You have to turn the situation into a positive. It's tough but we don't want to dwell on it. We have to move forward and the best way to do that is to learn from it and try and get better as a team."
Danny Welbeck Quotes of the week
Really disappointed
"We're really disappointed to be out of the Champions League - Manchester United are expected to qualify and we haven't. We all know that and we know we need to put things right," he told the club's official website.
"Our aim is always to win every single game. Unfortunately on Wednesday it didn't happen, but we'll be raring to go on Saturday and we've got the right mentality to come through this.
"You have to turn the situation into a positive. It's tough but we don't want to dwell on it. We have to move forward and the best way to do that is to learn from it and try and get better as a team.
"We trained well on Friday and everyone is looking forward to getting out there against Wolves."
On a personal note, Welbeck is keen to build on the progress he has made over the past 12 months after enjoying a loan spell at Sunderland last season.
He has become part of Fabio Capello's England squad and has also had a greater involvement in United's plans since returning to Old Trafford.
"It's been a great year [for me]," said Welbeck, who celebrated his 21st birthday last month. "My time at Sunderland was the making of me.
"I got my England call-up and then I came back to United and started quite a few games. But I don't want to stop there, I want to carry on.
"Everyone is hungry for success here and it's a great environment to be in."
