Ajax have announced plans to hold a testimonial match for former goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar.
The 40-year-old announced his retirement at the end of the season and played his final competitive game in Manchester United's Champions League final defeat against Barcelona.
Ajax confirmed on their website they will pay tribute to their former player on 3rd August with a testimonial at the Amsterdam ArenA set to feature many of Van der Sar's former team-mates.
The Dutchman spent the early part of his career with the Eredivisie giants, playing for Ajax between 1991 and 1999, making 311 appearances.
Van der Sar then moved on to play for Juventus and Fulham before rounding off his career at United.
The keeper also holds the prestigious honour of being the most capped international player in the history of the Dutch national team.
