Manchester United keeper Edwin van der Sar says that he will not be any more nervous playing his last game of professional football on Saturday.

Van der Sar is hanging up his gloves following United's mouth-watering UEFA Champions League final clash with Barcelona at Wembley.

The 40-year-old Dutchman is sure to be between the sticks for Sir Alex Ferguson's troops and he will not let the occasion get to him.

The former Ajax keeper watched in envy when Chelsea played Champions League football while he was at Fulham and was delighted United gave him a chance to play in the competition once again.

Excitement

"You're excited for the final anyway," he told Sky Sports News. "There's tension for a final.

"So the few extra per cent that it's going to be your last game doesn't make a difference.

"It's a great joy to be at a great stage like this.

"I had a couple of years at Fulham also. I watched Chelsea in some Champions League matches.

"Chelsea versus Bayern Munch and Chelsea against Barcelona and on one hand it would be great to be playing those kinds of games again.

"Lucky I've managed to do that here."
