Fraizer Campbell is aiming to establish himself as a regular at Tottenham before returning to Manchester United a better player.
The highly-rated young striker joined Spurs on loan last Monday as Dimitar Berbatov moved in the opposite direction to United for £30.75million.
Campbell has been assured that he has a future at Old Trafford and he is looking forward to one day playing a major role for the club.
He hopes to benefit from his spell at White Hart Lane and feels confident that he will see plenty of action with his new club.
Darren Bent and Roman Pavlyuchenko are the only two other senior strikers at Spurs and Campbell is relishing the challenge ahead of him.
"I've had various meetings with [manager] Sir Alex [Ferguson] and I'm in his plans for the future," Campbell said in the Daily Mirror.
"Hopefully I can get some experience, come back and get a place in the team.
"This season I hope I can get in the team and hold down a regular first-team place and score a few goals, but mostly learn from the experience."
