Manchester United defender Jonny Evans has lauded the quality of summer signing Dimitar Berbatov.
The striker ended his two-year stay at Tottenham Hotspur after he completed a £30million switch to United on transfer deadline day.
Evans has twice been on the losing side when facing Berbatov, with the most recent defeat coming during an international friendly between Northern Ireland and Bulgaria.
However, it was January's Premier League encounter against Spurs, during his loan spell at Sunderland last season, that the 20-year-old came to terms with the talent of his new team-mate.
He said: "I could not wait for half-time to come as Berbatov was outstanding. He is someone who can make a difference to a game.
"Berbatov has a great touch for a big man and is a very good player. I am just glad he is now at United. On the other hand I know I will have to be at my best in training."
