Hull City manager Phil Brown remains hopeful the club will bring in new players before the close of the transfer window.
Although The Tigers have made a promising start to life in their first ever season in the Premier League, Brown is keen to swell his numbers.
Manchester United striker Fraizer Campbell remains at the top of the club's wanted list, although Brown accepts The Red Devils may only be willing to do business if they acquire Dimitar Berbatov.
"We are working quite hard behind the scenes to get players in but you can only do your own bit, as highlighted by the Man United-Tottenham-Berbatov scenario," explained Brown.
"You can only do as much as you can, then you need someone else to say yes.
"We have got bids on the table for a number of players and if players become available at the other end, hopefully they will become Hull City players eventually.
"But until that happens I will just continue to try to do the work as much as I can."
