In-demand winger Antonio Valencia says that he expects to stay at Wigan for another season.
Manchester United and Barcelona are said to be amongst the sides chasing the highly-rated Ecuadorian - who had a spectacular campaign at The JJB Stadium.
The 22-year-old has now insisted that he has never spoken with Manchester United or knows anything about a move away from Wigan.
"I have not been told anything about it," he told El Universo.
"I never spoke with Manchester United."
Wigan future
When asked whether he will still be a Wigan player come August - he replied: "Yes, I think so. It seems that they want me to stay one more year.
"I feel good to be able to play in The Premier League.
"I hope this will help me play for a bigger team. If it does not happen this year, maybe next year.
"English football is very difficult. I have started to study because you have to speak English to be able to play there."
