Roma go head-to-head with Manchester United on Wednesday - live on Sky Sports 2 - looking to overturn last week's 2-0 first-leg defeat.

Luciano Spalletti's side suffered a humiliating 7-1 loss at United in last season's quarter-finals; however Panucci has his eyes on a famous triumph this time round.

"For us, the match at Old Trafford is a question of pride," he exclusively told skysports.com.

"After the 7-1 loss last season we are obliged to win. We arrive without fear.

Totti loss

"It is not easy to win in Manchester but for us it is necessary.

"It is clear that 2-0 to United is a bad scoreline, but we are ready to fight from the first minute."

Panucci went on to bemoan the absence of forward Francesco Totti, who misses the fixture with a thigh injury.

"Our problem is in attack. The injury to Totti has arrived at a bad moment for us," he concluded.
