Gary Neville completed 90 minutes for Manchester United's reserves against Manchester City on Thursday night, while Mikael Silvestre also featured.
Neville sustained an ankle injury against Bolton last March and has suffered a number of setbacks during his recovery.
But he came through the game at Marston's Arena seemingly unscathed and will now be hoping to feature for Sir Alex Ferguson's first team before the end of the season.
Silvestre, who has been out since September with a knee injury, was substituted after 76 minutes.
Danny Welbeck scored a hat-trick as United won the game 4-1.
