Paul Duffen believes Fraizer Campbell may sign on a permanent basis if Hull gain promotion.

Promotion battle may determine Fraizer's future

Hull City chairman Paul Duffen believes the possibility of signing Fraizer Campbell on a permanent basis depends on the outcome of the club's promotion challenge. Campbell has been in sensational form since joining the Tigers on loan from Manchester United in October - scoring 13 goals in 27 appearances to help fire his new club up to fifth in the Championship table. Hull fans would love to see the 20-year-old secure a switch to the KC Stadium, but Duffen admits that may only be possible should Phil Brown's men seal a place in next seasons Barclays Premier League campaign. "I have said consistently that the challenge is first Manchester United have to confirm they don't want him and then we have to be a Premier League club if we want to attract him," said Duffen. "I don't see Fraizer signing for a Championship club. In fact, I would advise him not to, I think he's too good."
