Edwin van der Sar will wait until December to decide whether to extend his career at Manchester United.
The Holland international signed a one-year contract extension last year but his existing deal expires at the end of the current campaign.
Despite being in his 37th year Van der Sar remains a model of consistency and Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to keep him at Old Trafford.
It seems likely the former Fulham man will call time on his international career after Euro 2008 but whether he does likewise at United remains to be seen.
"We will decide in December what we are going to do, the same as last year," he said.
"At the moment I want to get back playing and get back to the form I was in before."
