Defender Danny Simpson has committed himself to Manchester United until 2010 after signing a new contract.
The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on-loan at Sunderland, along with team-mate Jonny Evans, and has made his way into the first-team picture since his return to Old Trafford.
During his time with the Black Cats, Simpson became Roy Keane's first choice at right-back, making 14 appearances as the Wearsiders went on to win the Championship title.
He had previously spent the first four months of last term on-loan at Belgian side Royal Antwerp.
