Roma's acting president Rosella Sensi has claimed club captain Francesco Totti is a better player than Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Serie A side were pitted against The Red Devils in Friday's draw for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.
Ronaldo and Totti will go head-to-head twice in quick succession next month with a place in the semi-finals against either Milan or Bayern Munich up for grabs.
Both players are near the top of their league's goalscoring charts, but Sensi believes the Italian midfielder will come out on top when the sides meet.
"Totti is better than Ronaldo," she said.
Meanwhile, Totti expects nothing less than the spirit shown against Lyon in the last 16 to get Roma past United.
Luciano Spalletti's men beat the French champions 2-0 in the second leg at Stade Gerland after a stalemate in Italy.
"It's going to be a difficult tie (against United)," Totti added. "Once again we face a team that are favourites to reach the Champions League final.
"We will need to face Man Utd with the same spirit that saw us beat Lyon.
"Man Utd have great talented players but the one I really like is Wayne Rooney."
