Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung believes he will return stronger after successfully undergoing surgery on his ankle.
The South Korean international has not played since United's 2-1 away win at Watford on August 26.
He suffered ligament damage to his left ankle before the 1-0 home win against Tottenham Hotspur the game after.
But his operation went well and the 25-year-old is know targeting a regular starting role when he returns around the critical Christmas period.
"The operation was a success. I won't be able to play for three months," Park explained.
"It is frustrating to be sidelined for such a long time.
"I'm clearly disappointed but I feel confident I will return stronger than ever after this injury."
If his recovery progresses as scheduled, he should return to the fold for The Red Devils in time for United's tough clash against Aston Villa on December 23.
