New Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has moved to quash rumours that goalkeeper Iker Casillas could be on his way to Manchester United.

The 25-year-old has attracted numerous admirers in his time at the Bernabeu, and once again impressed at the World Cup with Spain.

Sir Alex Ferguson meanwhile, is known to be looking for a long-term solution between the sticks to replace ageing shot-stopper Edwin van der Sar.

While the big Dutchman still has some time left in him at 35, rumours had started to circulate, particularly when Calderon admitted to Capello's liking of team-mate Ruud van Nistelrooy, but the president has dismissed the Spaniard's chances of leaving.

"Fabio Capello doesn't want to lose Casillas, and the president wants what the coach wants," Calderon stated to Marca.
