Mahamadou Diarra's agent Frederic Guerra has denied holding transfer talks.
Mahamadou Diarra's agent Frederic Guerra has denied a report in Spanish daily Marca that claimed the Lyon star is primed for a move to Manchester United or Real Madrid.
Marca suggested that United have already agreed a deal with the French champions but Madrid have until Sunday to launch a counter bid.
However, Guerra has made it clear that his client is focusing on his football, with Lyon in French Cup quarter final action against Marseille at Stade Gerland on Tuesday night.
"This information is totally false," Guerra told skysports.com. "It is an invention of the Spanish press.
"Fifa stipulate that the summer transfer window starts on May 15, not before.
"I have never broken that law and I won't start today.
"I haven't had Manchester United nor Real Madrid on the phone. I haven't met with them.
"Diarra wants to stay focused on Lyon," Guerra emphasised. "They play a very important match tonight.
"I will tell you more about Mahamadou's future within a month."
Developments are hence expected before mid-May but Lyon have warned that they will demand a massive price for their influential midfielder.
