Nigerian starlet John Obi Mikel wants the battle for his services between Chelsea and Manchester United to be resolved so that he can look ahead with certainty.

The teenager has been tipped for greatness for a number of years, with his stellar displays prompting widespread interest from around Europe.

Manchester United appeared to win the race for Mikel when securing his signature last year.

However, a spanner was thrown in the works when Chelsea came calling as Mikel claimed he was coerced into signing the deal with The Red Devils and wanted to move to Stamford Bridge.

A war of words erupted, which led to intervention from Fifa. A court ruling came down in favour of United, but this has been challenged and Mikel's future is still in some doubt.

The player has admitted he is growing frustrated with the situation and is looking for closure in order to allow him to plan for the future.

"It (the tug-of-war) is something that has happened," Mikel told Eurosport. "It is going to be sorted, I want it to be sorted.

"I just want people to realise I have a future to go ahead with.

"I don't like this, it has been a lot, and I want to people to know I have a future to get on with."
