Nice move for Bellion

David Bellion has returned to France to join Ligue 1 side Nice on loan.

Having failed to further his career at West Ham, David Bellion has returned to France to join Ligue 1 side Nice on loan for the rest of the season.

The Frenchman has spent the first half of the campaign at The Hammers after agreeing a temporary deal from Manchester United.

First team opportunities have been few and far between at Upton Park, however, and Bellion has now opted to cut short his season-long stay in the East End in favour of a switch to Nice.

The 23-year-old made his name in England at Sunderland before a switch to Old Trafford in July 2003.

Bellion has failed to impress manager Sir Alex Ferguson sufficiently to earn an extended run in the United first team and the Scot has offered Nice the opportunity to make the move permanent in the summer.
