Manchester United defender Mikael Silvestre says that he is struggling with a knee injury but is still ready to play for France on Saturday.
The 26-year-old says that he has been playing through the pain barrier with a knee injury, and should really be resting.
However, the former Internazionale man says that he is gradually improving and has no intentions of taking it easy.
He is set to line up for Jacques Santini's side that face Germany on Saturday and his desire to play for Les Bleus outweighs any discomfort he may feel with the injury.
"It is a recurrent injury, and in a bad place - an internal ligament sprain on the left knee," said Silvestre.
"As soon as I kick the ball, it is quite painful, but I am improving. Before, just a pass was annoying but now it is only kicks.
"Actually, I should need one month of complete rest. But you always want to play, desire is stronger than reason."
