SIDNEY GOVOU looks likely to remain with Lyon, at least in the meantime, despite the interest from Liverpool and Italy.
The 23-year-old Govou has been widely admired by several top teams, and his agent Frederic Guerra recently confirmed interest from Manchester United, Liverpool, Milan and Juventus.
The French international has become one of his nation's hottest talents, but his recent form for high-flying Lyon has given him a difficult choice.
"The last results have reinforced the hypothesis he could stay," admitted Guerra.
Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas is keen to hang on to the burgeoning talent, and is confident that they can retain the player until Euro 2004.
"Firstly I can say we have received no offer," Aulas said.
"I can also say that it is not a foregone conclusion that Sidney will leave at the end of the season."
