JUVENTUS have joined Manchester United in the hunt for Porto's highly-rated striker Helder Postiga.
The talented young hot shot has already attracted the interest of The Red Devils with his progressive form during the past couple of seasons.
United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz has expressed his admiration for his compatriot as the Old Trafford titans keep tabs on the 20-year-old.
Italian champions Juventus have now entered the race to be at the head of the queue to snap up the Portuguese starlet if he becomes available.
The Old Lady will send a scout to run the rule over Postiga during Thursday's Uefa Cup quarter final in Greece against Panathinaikos.
Their Serie A rivals Udinese were rumoured to have lodged an offer for Postiga last summer but Porto were not interested in negotiating.
With Postiga under contract to Porto until 2007, the former European Cup winners are under no immediate pressure to cash in on his services.
Tottenham Hotspur have also been tracking the hot shot and a summer bidding war cannot be ruled out if Postiga continues to develop at such a rapid rate.
