The teenage defender has earned rave reviews this term, and his performances have resulted in scouts from all over Europe descending on Servette.
The likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Spanish duo Real Madrid and Barcelona have all looked at the youngster, but it seems as if Gunners chief Arsene Wenger has pulled off a notable transfer coup.
The Gunners released a statement saying they had tied up a deal with Servette, and will bring the 18-year-old to Highbury in the summer.
Senderos was asked to train with Liverpool and was also given a personal invite to Old Trafford by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
Ferguson brought Senderos to Old Trafford to see United beat Newcastle 5-3, and the youngster admitted it was an amazing experience.
However, it was believed that a move to Spain was the preferred option of the player`s father who also acts as his agent.
Senderos senior is Spanish, and was reportedly leaning towards his son moving to La Liga.
Gunners chief Wenger, though, had other ideas and appears to have been at his persuasive best in securing a deal for one of Europe`s hottest properties.
Wenger has been scouring the market for a successor to Martin Keown, and he will hope that Senderos develops into the talent that he threatens to become.
Senderos explained why he chose Arsenal, saying: "The English develop a fighting spirit in players and that is the reason I want to play at Arsenal.
"I like the English game and I think playing in the Premier League will allow me to develop better as a player."
