LUTON TOWN boss Joe Kinnear is trying to sign Manchester United's Luke Chadwick and West Ham winger Laurent Courtois.
The ambitious Hatters chief is keen to bring loan players to Kenilworth Road this week, and is aiming high by targeting England Under-21 international Chadwick, and Frenchman Courtois.
Chadwick has reiterated his desire to quit Old Trafford if he cannot win a place in the first team but, playing in David Beckham's role, there are always going to be limited opportunities for the 21-year-old.
"I'll be ringing Alex Ferguson this morning," Kinnear told the official Luton Town website.
"I don't think he'll be in the best of moods, but I'll bravely call him up.
"'Sorry about Saturday, Alex.'
"It's ambitious but, if you don't ask, you don't get."
Courtois was reportedly involved in a car park bust-up with temperamental Italian Paolo Di Canio in training last week.
