Massive financial problems at Cragnotti's food company Cirio have come to light in the last week and reports are suggesting that he could be ready to sell the club.
Cragnotti is clearly concerned that the problems may affect the team`s play, prompting him to visit the training ground to reassure the squad.
"I went to Formello to talk with the players," he said. "I wanted to give them a sense of tranquillity after the many and false things that have been said in last days.
"I've told the players to be calm but be aware that anything can happen.
"As for myself, I'll continue helping Lazio as I have done up to now."
The vultures are circling the Stadio Olimpico, with Ivan De La Pena seeking guarantees over unpaid revenue, and clubs looking to raid the squad.
Chelsea are reportedly keen on Giuseppe Favalli and Giuseppe Pancaro, while Juventus, Internazionale, Manchester United and Tottenham are all eyeing Dejan Stankovic and Stefano Fiore.
