LENS coach Joel Muller has vowed to keep Senegal pair Papa Bouba Diop and Ferdinand Coly at the Felix-Bollaert Stadium.

Star striker El Hadji Diouf has already joined Liverpool in a deal worth around £10 million, but Muller moved quickly to quash speculation that Diop and Coly would follow their compatriot to England.

Manchester United were keeping tabs on burly midfielder Bouba Diop, who scored the first goal in the 2002 World Cup, while Arsenal were linked with right full-back Coly.

However, Lens are keen to go one better than last season, when they finished runners-up in Le Championnat to Lyon, and want to hang onto their Senegalese aces to help them achieve that aim.

Muller said that the Lions duo were pivotal to the team and insisted the club were not under pressure to sell following the departure of Diouf.
