Coloccini has certainly impressed in his short spell at Alaves, who for most of the season were the best defensive team in Spain, following his loan switch from Milan.
United have been over to Spain to watch Coloccini on a number of occasions, but the player admitted: "I'm doing well with Alaves.
"I am very happy here. People are good and the club looks after me well and helps me with everything.
"It would appeal to me to continue playing here."
However, the form of Coloccini for Alaves could make negotiations with Milan that much more difficult in the summer.
