Sky Sports Fantasy Football explain why Daniel Sturridge is the most reliable pick for the armband.

Sky Sports Fantasy Football's Tim Clement examines the form guide for some bankers to pick up points this weekend.

Daniel Sturridge looks the most reliable choice for the armband in Sky Sports Fantasy Football this weekend with the points drying up for his top-scoring rivals. The Liverpool marksman will be looking to score for his eighth successive Premier League game on Sunday, with the number crunchers at Sky Bet rating him as odds-on to do so against Swansea. Even the game's highest point scorer, Luis Suarez, has endured something of a drought of late, with no goals in four in all competitions and just one in seven. Eden Hazard made up significant ground on the Uruguayan with a hat-trick against Newcastle earlier in the month, but has failed to score in six of his last seven games. Meanwhile, Yaya Toure's tally has suffered with Manchester City failing to score in their last two league games - although it would be a real surprise if that drought continued against Stoke at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. That fixture makes Sergio Aguero a stand out option but it remains to be seen whether he will be fit in time, while Alvaro Negredo has failed to score since his strike partner was sidelined. Like Aguero, Wayne Rooney was leapfrogged by Sturridge last week having failed to score or provide an assist in his last five games, a trend Crystal Palace's stubborn backline look capable of extending. Albeit with some way to go, Emmanuel Adebayor is gradually making up ground with the big scorers, with 89 points from the last seven gameweeks thanks to eight goals from his last 10 starts. At £7.6m the Tottenham striker is certainly tempting, especially with lowly Norwich to come on Super Sunday. Spurs' backline holds appeal given the Canaries have scored just five times in their last 11 games, while Aston Villa's defence also face an side with a wretched goalscoring record, with Newcastle netting in just of their last eight Premier League games. Loic Remy returns for the Magpies but had only scored once in his last five league appearances before his suspension. West Ham midfielder Kevin Nolan boasts a far better record of late, with four goals in his last three games ahead of the visit of Southampton. The Hammers' backline also interests having kept four successive clean sheets, with James Tomkins the bargain pick at £5.2m.
