Sky Sports Fantasy Football bosses are re-signing Robin van Persie in their droves, with the Dutch striker back in the goals ahead of the visit of Aston Villa.

Van Persie put an end to a nine-match run without finding the net as he scored against both Stoke and West Ham, racking up 14 points in the double gameweek.

The Manchester United striker's upturn in form has seen him attract the most transfers in ahead of the weekend, with a place in 45 per cent of all Sky Sports Fantasy Football sides.

It has also seen him close the gap on the game's leading scorer Luis Suarez, who has failed to net in four heading into Sunday's visit of Chelsea.

The number crunchers at Sky Bet make Van Persie the most likely player to net this weekend, offering just 4/7 for him to score anytime and 13/5 to help himself to a brace.

Wayne Rooney is also rated odds-on to score but is looking a less attractive option having failed to score in his last three appearances, with Sir Alex Ferguson utilising him in a deeper role in recent games.

United's backline has also seen a downturn in form of late, conceding four in the last three following six successive clean sheets.

While they look among the most likely to be picking up further bonus points with another clean sheet, the form of Christian Benteke, who has netted nine in 10, is a concern.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are the other big favourites to win this weekend as they travel to Fulham, who looked all but on the beach in their midweek 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.

With none of the Gunners' strikers to be trusted to find the net, Santi Cazorla is the pick of Arsene Wenger's men.

The Spaniard has racked up 231 points this season, the second most in the game, with 12 goals, eight assists and nine Sky Sports man of the match awards, while he has also picked up bonus points for completed passes on 17 occasions.

However, it is worth keeping an eye on team news after Wenger revealed in his pre-match press conference that his playmaker requires a late fitness check.

Across north London, Gareth Bale is also a doubt for Tottenham's crucial clash with Manchester City.

The Welsh winger, who was in electric form before suffering an ankle injury, is facing a race against time to be fit for the visit of Roberto Mancini's men, but Andre Villas-Boas is expecting to have his star man available.

Andy Carroll has found some fine form of late, scoring three and setting up another to pick up 34 points from his last three appearances, but still looks overpriced at £8.6m.

Everton's defence is also racking up the points, with Phil Jagielka landing 43 from his last five outings, with the Toffees keeping four clean sheets from their last five games.

On the injury front, Tim Krul is sidelined again, Ashley Young looks set to miss the remainder of the campaign, while Jack Wilshere is facing a late fitness test.
