Wigan have been installed as the favourites to secure the services of the Leeds striker after he handed in a transfer request. The Argentinian is likely to be a wanted man having netted 19 times already this season, while the Latics are thought to be in the market for a frontman with none of their current options delivering the goods. A move to Spain is also considered likely, while Norwich have been backed following their rejected bids for Hooper.

A lack of form, an Employment Tribunal and a bust-up with Roberto Mancini all point to one thing - time for Manchester City to cut their losses. However, the Italian boss continues to back his compatriot, playing down a January exit. That has not put punters off backing a move to AC Milan, with a string of significant bets on Sunday night prompting us to suspend betting. Noises coming out of the San Siro outfit imply there is interest from their behalf, with a concrete offers expected before the window shuts.

Favourites: Sunderland

Sunderland and Norwich have both tabled bids for the Swansea striker who has struggled to hold down a regular slot in the starting XI at the Liberty Stadium this season. The Gateshead born striker has hinted that he is keen to return to the North East, alerting Newcastle who are now second favourites in the betting to sign the former Watford man. Graham has recently hit a rich seam of form with four goals in his last five games so will have plenty of suitors battling for his signature.

Austin has been scoring for fun - 23 in 27 games - and it now appears that the Burnley hitman is now the target of Celtic if Gary Hooper moves to the Premier League this month. With Norwich boss Chris Hughton thought to be prepared to pay up to £8million for the Celtic man, money has come in for Austin to make the move to Parkhead while Everton are second favourites.

Celtic's link to Charlie Austin stems from growing interest in Hooper, who has been the subject of two failed bids from Norwich, one of several Premier League clubs believed to be monitoring the prolific Celtic striker. Having made the first move, the Canaries we're initially considered favourites to sign him, particularly as Hooper has rejected a new contract offer from the Bhoys. However, it is Tottenham who have emerged as the favourites amid media speculation that they are set to launch a bid.

Speculation has been rife as to where Beckham will be heading next following his decision to quit MLS. The former England midfielder was initially expected to make a move to the A-League in Australia however, it appears that a move to West Ham is now the midfielder's preferred option with the Hammers heading the chase following a string of significant bets. French sides Monaco and PSG are also considered to be in the hunt along with his former side AC Milan.

Swansea were initially heavily backed to seal a shock move for Barcelona striker David Villa, but interest has since cooled with Arsenal now the favourites. Speculation suggests the Spaniard could be set for a three-month loan deal in January in order to regain his match sharpness following a leg break, which ruled him out for the majority of last season.

The Colombian striker will be near the top of the shopping list of any club with the financial clout to tempt Atletico Madrid to part with his services. Fernando Torres' shyness in front of goal prompted talk of a move from Chelsea, with a part-exchange deal mooted. The Blues had headed the betting for a matter of months, but interest has tempered somewhat since Demba Ba arrived at Stamford Bridge. Big-spending PSG have now emerged as the favourites to lure him away from the Vicente Calderon Stadium.

Speculation has gradually started to build over Nani's future as he remains in the wilderness at Old Trafford. The winger has struggled to impress during his limited playing time this season. PSG were installed as the initial favourites to secure the Portugal international's services, but a flurry of money has seen Arsenal moved to the head of the market.

With Lampard resigned to not being offered a a contract extension at Stamford Bridge, LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena admits the England midfielder could be an ideal replacement for David Beckham at the MLS club. Manchester United have also been linked to the 34-year-old who is a 6/1 shot to move to Old Trafford before September 1st.

Favourites: Liverpool

Butland's future has become subject of intense speculation since cash-strapped Birmingham revealed they may have to cash in to ease their financial problems. The 19-year-old goalkeeper, who has already made his full England debut, is likely to have his pick of suitors from the Premier League. Liverpool have attracted the majority of the backing so far while Fulham and Southampton are also considered. Everton and Newcastle are deemed less likely to those which have been linked.

The Brazilian attacking midfielder is attracting plenty of attention thanks to his impressive displays for Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League. Tottenham head the betting with Andre Villas-Boas thought to be a keen admirer, while Chelsea, whose style of football should perfectly accommodate the 24-year-old, are second favourites. The main stumbling block in any move is likely to be Shakhtar's reluctance to let their star man leave, with the Ukrainian giants in a very healthy financial state and harbouring big ambitions, particularly in the Champions League.

Favourites: Tottenham

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is being backed to dive back into the market for midfielder Joao Moutinho, who he almost signed in the dying moments of the summer transfer window. Spurs are thought to be Moutinho's first choice, but the north London club may face stiff financial competition from PSG and Zenit St Petersburg, while Chelsea cannot be ruled out of the running. Capped 48 times by Portugal, Moutinho thrived under the guidance of Villas-Boas during their trophy-laden time together at Porto.

Favourites: Real Madrid

Bale's future has attracted speculation ever since he announced himself on the European stage with his electric performances in the Champions League two seasons back. With Tottenham likely to be reluctant to allow one of their Premier League rivals to obtain the Welshman's services, Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona head the betting. Luka Modric's plea for Bale to join him at the Bernabeu has seen odds on a move to the Spanish capital cut, although Andre Villas-Boas has since quashed talk of any such deal.
