Hull striker Abel Hernandez has been charged with violent conduct following an incident with Phil Jones on Sunday.
Hernandez appeared to strike the Manchester United defender in the stomach as the pair waited for a corner during the second half of a goalless draw which saw Hull relegated.
A panel of three former referees will now assess the incident, in keeping with FA regulations, and decide whether the offence warranted a red card.
Hernandez faces a three-match suspension if found guilty and has until 6pm on Wednesday to respond to the charge.
