Leicester boss Nigel Pearson hailed the effort of his players after his side secured a vital 2-0 win over Swansea.
With Swansea having little to play for, the match represented a fantastic opportunity for the Foxes to take a step towards Premier League survival, and the players were up for it from the word go.
Goals from Leonardo Ulloa, who only came into the side at the last minute after an injury to David Nugent in the warm-up, and a late Andy King strike were enough to move Leicester off the bottom and within sight of safety.
Pearson could not hide his delight at securing Leicester's third win in a row, and hailed his players for their attitude.
"It is never easy to achieve three wins in a row for a club in our sort of position," Pearson told Sky Sports. "It is what we need at this stage of the season.
"I am pleased for the players today. They have really committed to the season, and I can bemoan our luck at times, but we have kept our season alive.
"Winning games certainly helps that."
The fact Ulloa scored so early in the match after only being told he was playing 10 minutes before kick-off proved the focus the Foxes' players have, and Pearson heaped further praise on them for coping.
"It is a setback that the players have to deal with, bearing in mind we named the side yesterday," Pearson added.
"It reflects very positively on the players that they were able to take it in their stride. Leo (Ulloa) played another positive role for us today with his goal.
"We have given ourselves a chance and that’s the most important thing."
