Southampton and England defender Nathaniel Clyne is 'confident' Ronald Koeman's side can secure a top-four finish.
The Saints have thrived since the former Holland defender took the reins in the summer and currently sit six points behind fourth-placed Manchester United in the Premier League with nine games remaining.
The 23-year-old, who has shone throughout and earned his first England cap in November, said: "We're going into games and we're winning lots of them. You can see where we are in the league - we're doing really well.
"We're pushing for it and there are still a lot of games left to play. We're all really confident we can get to that fourth spot."
Asked whether Koeman should be considered for manager of the year, Clyne added: "Definitely, especially if we get to fourth spot. Why not? He's done terrifically.
"He's come in and brought in players that can adapt to the Premier League. He's a good manager."
On his hopes of playing for England in a competitive fixture for the first time when they face Lithuania later this month, the former Crystal Palace right-back added: "I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll get the call-up and hopefully it'll be another chance to show how good I am at international level.
"It will be a great achievement if I can get the call-up again and hopefully we can go there and get the three points."
Clyne was speaking at his old school in south London where he was helping to launch a Premier League initiative which urges UK schools to apply for a free football kit.
