Premier League: Victor Moses out of Stoke's plans for at least six weeks

Stoke winger Victor Moses faces at least six weeks on the sidelines with a 'significant' thigh injury.

Moses, on loan at the Britannia Stadium from Chelsea, has been in fine form in recent weeks but was injured in the 2-1 Premier League defeat by Burnley on Saturday.

"It's bad news on Victor Moses, a problem with his thigh," assistant manager Mark Bowen said.

"He will be out with anything up to six to eight weeks. It's a big hit. He had a scan and it's not good.

"At the moment we're deciding with Chelsea whether to go back and have the rehab there or stay with our team."

But Bowen had more positive news on the prognosis for ong-serving defender Marc Wilson, who missed the Burnley match with an injury he sustained at Tottenham before the international break.

Wilson could be back in Mark Hughes' plans as early as Saturday's league clash with Liverpool, and Bowen added: "Marc trained on Tuesday, albeit lightly, but he trained and will have more intensive training later in the week and hopefully he'll be available at the weekend."
