Mohamed Diame could be fit for Hull's trip to Manchester United on Saturday after scans cleared him of serious injury.
The midfielder missed Sunday's home defeat to Tottenham with a knee problem and was sent for further investigation.
The diagnosis is inflammation of the patella tendon, and a Hull statement read: "Happily, the results of the scan show no major problems. He will be assessed over the next few days."
Hull go to Old Trafford just a point clear of the Premier League relegation places having won only once since the opening weekend,
But Diame has been a hit since arriving from West Ham in a £3.5m deadline-day deal, scoring four times in eight starts.
