Record signing Kostas Mitroglou will not be ready to make his Fulham debut against Liverpool on Wednesday.
The Cottagers splashed out £11million on the Greek striker in January, snapping him up from Olympiakos on transfer deadline day.
He has been drafted in to get the goals which will lift Rene Meulensteen's side clear of relegation trouble.
He has, however, been sidelined since arriving in England with a knee problem.
Fulham are hoping Mitroglou will soon be at their disposal, but will not be rushing an expensive acquisition into the fold ahead of schedule.
Meulensteen said: "We're still working very hard to get him up to speed for the Premier League.
"It's important for us that we time that right, for us and for him.
"He's working hard, he's progressing every day, and that's how we assess him. Wednesday will be too early for him."
