Javi Guerra's agent has confirmed that he is set to agree a move to a foreign club, with Cardiff City understood to be closing on a deal for the Spanish striker.
Cardiff failed with a move for the 31-year-old striker on transfer deadline day, but their interest has remained and now they are understood to be close to securing his signature.
Guerra's current deal at Real Valladolid expires in the summer and his agent has told Sky Sports that a deal is close.
Pepe Mesas confirmed: "We have practically closed an agreement with a foreign club but this announcement does not rest with us."
Masas insisted that Guerra, who has bagged 11 goals in La Liga already this term, will remain committed to Valladolid until the end of the season.
"The player is totally committed to Valladolid until the last day of this season," he added.
The former Valencia and Levante forward is reported to have agreed a three-year deal with the South Wales outfit.
