Swansea's flight to Switzerland for Thursday's Europa League clash with St Gallen was disrupted by seven hours by heavy fog.
The Premier League outfit had been due to depart at 10am from Cardiff but the foggy conditions caused a delay, before a technical problem with the plane ensured it had to remain grounded.
They finally took off at 5.15pm and arrived around 7pm.
The problems threw Swansea's planned training session at St Gallen's stadium on Wednesday night into doubt.
But manager Michael Laudrup will be able to fulfil his pre-match media obligations, having travelled to Zurich independently of his team.
Swansea are closing in on qualification for the next stage as they lie second in Group A, three points ahead of Kuban Krasnodar, who have a tough Thursday trip to leaders Valencia.
