Remie Streete would be prepared to leave Newcastle on loan in order to get the game time his development requires.
The 19-year-old defender is among a clutch of promising academy graduates currently pushing for senior recognition at St James' Park.
Paul Dummett has stepped out of the youth ranks and into Alan Pardew's plans this season, while Adam Campbell is another youngster held in high regard.
Streete knows he needs minutes in order to catch the eye, and that may require him to take in a short-term spell elsewhere.
No deal was struck prior to the closing of the emergency loan window, but there will be further opportunities to get out in January if Newcastle receive a suitable offer.
Streete told the Evening Chronicle: "The main thing is to just keep on playing, whether that's the reserve team or going on loan.
"The good thing at Newcastle is there are players that have been given the chance.
"Paul Dummett and Adam Campbell have all had chances from the manager."
